Doug Hart, of Clementsville, formerly of Louisville, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at his home. He was 65.
He was born on February 14, 1959, in Louisville, KY to the late Julius Lee and Carol Elizabeth Klusmeier Hart. Doug retired from Coca-Cola in Louisville, after 44 years of service. He had many positions with Coca-Cola, from working in the warehouse, making deliveries and working on fountain machines.
Doug was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Jeffersontown, KY. He enjoyed gardening, watching his birds and loved spending time on his farm, especially with his dogs, Lilly, Cooper and Hershey and with his cats, Kitty Beanz and Buddy Boy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Ann Mueller.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Dana Thomas Hart, whom he wed on July 8, 1989; his son, Collin Hart (and Kyla) of Mt. Washington; his daughter, Carley Hart (and Jared); his brothers, Bill Hart (and Lois) of Louisville and Bob Hart (and Kathy) of Shelbyville; his sisters, Susan Hart and Mary Lou Edrington, both of Louisville; his two grandchildren, Nevaeh and Bentley; his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Dwight and Kathy Hazelwood of Hillview and Michael and Donna Thomas of Northern KY; and his Coca-Cola friends, whom he considered family.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with his brother, Bob Hart officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Marshall, Dominic Barnes, Kaleb Clements, David Edge, Johnny Devine, Jared Gibson, Noel Lindsey and Dwight Hazelwood.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the American Heart Association, in Doug’s memory.
