Donnie Alan Douglas, of Yosemite, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Casey County Hospital. He was 70.
He was born July 10, 1954, in Danville, KY to the late J.C. and Janet Douglas. Donnie worked at Green River Gate Company in Liberty for many years. He loved playing horseshoes, hanging out with his friends and spending time with his family. Donnie was well known as the “mayor” of Yosemite.
In addition to his parents, Donnie is preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie and Randy Douglas.
Donnie is survived by his daughter, Melissa Ann Pruitt (and John) of Yosemite; his son, Randall Alan Douglas of Yosemite; his brother, Larry Douglas (and Crystal Sims) of Yosemite; his sisters, Beverly Means (and Roger) of Yosemite, Terry Douglas of Yosemite and DeDe Douglas of Russell Springs; his half-sister, Jennifer Douglas of Ohio; his former wife and mother of his children, Kathleen Bruner of Douglasville, GA; his former wife, Tina Hines of Crab Orchard and her children, Tia, Tiffany and Ben Oaks;; his grandchildren, Jason, Jacob, Amber, Austin and Logan; and his great-grandchildren, Greyson, Jace Cole, Jacob Parker and Miles Brooks.
Funeral services will be 2:00PM Sunday, January 26, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00AM to 2:00PM Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Randall Douglas, Larry Douglas, Roger Means, Jack Douglas, Bob Estes, Teddy Stafford, Terry Brown, Jacob Pruitt, Adam Roy and Robbie Martin.
