David “Mike” Michael Rodgers, of Liberty, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, at his home. He was 64.
He was born February 16, 1960, in Indiana to the late Layton L. Rodgers, Sr. and the late Helen Jerky Rodgers. Mike retired after 15 years of service from Tarter Industries, where he was a steel cutter operator. He also worked at South Indiana Lumber for numerous years. He attended 49 Holiness Church. Mike loved the outdoors and being outside. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and most of all, spending time with his family.
Mike is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Wethington Rodgers, whom he wed on October 9, 2008; his sons, Dewayne Richardson (and Melissa Legault) of Hustonville and Joey Daniel (and Georgia) of Liberty; his daughters, Lacy Marie of Indiana and Becky Wesley (and Tyler Cochran) of Liberty; his brother, Leslie Rodgers, Jr. of Colorado; his sisters, Patrecia Young of Lebanon and Bridgett Hill of Utah; his aunts, Pam Price of Liberty, Pearl Field of Ohio, Retha Drostie of Mississippi and Sandra Mills of Louisville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00PM Friday, January 24, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Smallwood officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00AM until 1:00PM Friday, January 24, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Cochran, Dewayne Richardson, Joey Daniel, Jakob Kotila, Rodney Dowell and James Davenport.
