David Wesley

David Wesley of Liberty, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. He was 69 years of age.

Born December 3, 1950, in Danville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late James Dallas and Francina Sanders Wesley. David was a former maintenance supervisor for Casey County Hospital and a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. He was also an US Army Veteran, member of the Craftsman Masonic Lodge #722 F.&A.M., and former member of Liberty Volunteer Fire Department.  David was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Betty Rigney Wesley of Liberty, whom he wed September 29, 1970; two sons, Kirk (Michelle) Wesley of Liberty and Jay (Lesley) Wesley of Waynesburg; three grandchildren, Denver (Paige) Miller, Amber (Robert) Randolph, and Conner Wesley; and one great-grandson, Clayton Obadiah Miller. David is also survived by two brothers, Andy (Mandy) Wesley of Liberty and Jim (Cheryl) Wesley of Mason, Ohio; three sisters, Penelope Wesley of Easley, South Carolina, Betty Ann Wilson of Peebles, Ohio, and Patricia Lister of Louisville; one aunt, Jewell Brown of Brookville, Indiana; and one great-aunt, Aleena Sutherland of Hodgenville.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Wesley.

Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 15, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Brother Rodney Koger officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday, June 14, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Please enter through the front doors (Campbellsville Street side) of the funeral home when you arrive for visitation. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. 

Kirk Wesley, Jay Wesley, Conner Wesley, Andy Wesley, Robert Randolph, and Denver Miller will serve as David’s pallbearers.
