David Griffin

David Griffin, of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Casey County Hospital. He was 35.

Born on March 16, 1989, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, he was a son of Eddie Griffin, Sr. and the late Brenda Louise Johnson Brock. David was a supervisor at the Casey County Detention Center. He loved farming, hunting, and fishing.

David is survived by his wife, Jessica Luttrell of Liberty, who he wed on October 31, 2017; four sons, David Allen Griffin, Clarence John Griffin, Andrew Ray Griffin, and Braxton Dale Griffin; three daughters, Elizabeth Renee Griffin, Skylar Leeann Griffin, and Addison Marie Griffin; two brothers, Eddie (Deanna) Griffin, Jr. and Daniel Griffin; and his best friend, Jamie Daniel.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Bowmer Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Allen Griffin, Jamie Daniel, Gary Luttrell, Jermey Luttrell, Justin Luttrell, Christopher Harmon, and Greg Bennett.  

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to assist the family in offsetting expenses.
