Daniel E. Shetler

Daniel E. Shetler, of Liberty, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at his home.  He was 62.

He was born on March 29, 1963, in Fredericksburg, OH to the late Emanuel L. and Anna D. Miller Shetler. Daniel was a harness maker by trade and worked on alternators later in his life.  He enjoyed tinkering with hit and miss motors.  Daniel was a member of the Swartzentruber Old Order Amish Community Church.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Shetler, who passed away in 2024, and a sister, Lydia Zook.

He is survived by his sons, Levi (and Katie) Shetler, Jacob Shetler, Sam (and Mary) Shetler, Ezra (and Kathryn) Shetler and Emanuel Shetler; his daughters, Becky (and Eli J.) Miller, Ann Shetler and Malinda Shetler; his brother, Levi (and Anna) Shetler; his sisters, Sarah (and Joe) Zook, Ida Shetler and Elizabeth Shetler; and his nine grandchildren, Ida, Amos, Reuben, John, Sarah, Toby, Aaron, Johnny and Dakota.

Funeral services will be at 9:00AM Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at his home at 2166 South Fork Ridge Road, Liberty, KY.  Burial will follow in Peterscheim Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00PM Sunday, October 5th and Monday, October 6th at his home.
