Connie (Gifford) Buis

Connie Gifford Buis, of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at her home. She was 73.

Born on April 27, 1952, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Audra Smith Gifford. Connie was a homemaker. She loved flowers, gardening, hummingbirds, cooking, and caring for others.

She is survived by a daughter, Tina Mae Buis of Liberty; a son, Larry Jason Buis of Yosemite; a special granddaughter, Jalie Buis; two grandchildren, Hannah Sue Buis and Jason Logan Buis; and a special niece, Tammy Marple.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Buis, who she wed in June 1971, passed away on August 29, 2023; a daughter, April Dawn Buis; eight siblings; and a son-in-law, Anthony Buis.

Private burial will be held at Rich Hill Cemetery.
