Carla Kay (Passmore) Short

Carla Kay Passmore Short, of Liberty, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was 48.

She was born October 31,1975, in Casey County, to the late Carl and Lillian Kay Poff Passmore. She was a dedicated CNA, known and well-loved by many.

Carla was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and loved her dogs.

Carla is survived by her daughters, Breana Murphy (and Jacob) and Timia Short, both of Liberty; her fiancé, Teddy Strong of Liberty; her brother, Phillip Passmore (and Jill) of Yosemite; one grandson, Brentley Holt; her niece, Grace Walls (and Steven); and her nephew, Bradley Passmore.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, with Bro. Marty Shackelford officiating.  Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Murphy, Phillip Passmore, Landon Oakley, Jeff Martin, Allen Michael Poff and Teddy Strong.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
