Brenda Louise Cummins, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 66.
Born on June 30, 1959, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Glen “Bigboy” and Elsie Louise Clark Napier. Brenda was a faithful member of Grove Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, flowers, and hummingbird watching.
She is survived by her husband, John Jerome Cummins, who she wed on August 5, 1977; a daughter, Jessica (William) Carpenter of Lexington; two sisters, Retha (Dale) Atwood and Lisa (Tim) Childers, both of Kings Mountain; a brother, Ronald (Kathy) Napier of Kings Mountain; and a granddaughter, Victoria (Jonathan) Berry of Raleigh, North Carolina. Other survivors include nieces and nephews, Jantzen Denny, Eli Childers, Macy (Cody) Dillon, Amy (Brandon) Wood, Amanda Napier, Justin Cummins, Allison Cummins, Weston Nall, Kenton (Abby) Nall, and Jenna Nall; a sister-in-law, Patricia Cummins; and a brother-in-law, Robert (Donna) Cummins.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Harold Dean Napier.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Edward Bray and Bro. Randy Watts officiating. Burial will follow in KP Hall Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Grove Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund c/o Lisa Childers at 265 Twin Oaks Road, Kings Mountain, KY 40442.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Berry, Eli Childers, Justin Cummins, Cody Dillon, Kenton Nall, Weston Nall, and Jantzen Denny.
