Billie Derringer

Billie Derringer, of Martinsville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021, in Liberty, Kentucky. He was 79.

Born on July 16, 1941, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Thomas “Tom” and Lola Eads Derringer. Billie was a machine operator. He was a member of Plano Baptist Church. He formerly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by two sons, Randy Derringer of Coatesville, Indiana and Tommy (and Jodey) Derringer of Clayton, Indiana; two grandchildren, Mike and Chris; and four great-grandchildren, Thomas, Bo, Cameron, and Brooklyn; three sisters, Cindy (and Don) Miller, Phyllis (and Dallen) Gibson, and Brenda DeHart; and three brothers, Johnny (and Patty) Derringer, Roger (and Allison) Derringer, and Junior (and Sue) Derringer.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his spouse, Stella Ruth Taylor Derringer, who passed away on November 11, 2018; and two brothers, Bobby Derringer and William Derringer.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 19, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Price officiating. Burial will follow in Caney Fork Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by the Casey County Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 19, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
