Betty Lou McAninch Obituary

Betty Lou McAninch, of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the University of Kentucky. She was 81.

Born on April 5, 1941, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Margaret Murphy Jeffries. Betty Lou was a retired registered nurse and director of nursing. She was of the Baptist faith.

Betty Lou is survived by a son, Jim McAninch of Liberty; three grandchildren, Christopher, Nicole, and Joshua; and three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Kara, and Shawn; two brothers, Vernon Jeffries, Jr. and Doug Jeffries; and three sisters, Sharon Ann Gibson, Sue Long, and Phyllis Jo Wheeler.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James E. McAninch; and a sister, Laverda Richards.

Per Ms. Betty Lou’s wishes no services will be held.
