Bernie Lee “Squeaky” Wesley, of Bethelridge, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Liberty Care Center. He was 81.
Bernie was a native of Casey County, KY, born on October 8, 1943, to the late Oliver and Ruby McAninch Wesley. He was a retired truck driver and owner of B&B Trucking Company. Bernie served in the Kentucky Army National Guard and retired as a Staff Seargent after 22 years of service. He loved farming and working with Tennessee Walking Horses.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Norma Watson.
Bernie is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jane Bowlin Wesley, whom he married on December 19, 1969; his son, Mark Allen Wesley (and Jennifer) of Bethelridge; his daughter, Amanda Ferebee (and John) of Columbia; five grandchildren, John Allen Wesley, Justen Wesley, Benjamin Ferebee, Olivia Ferebee and Seth Grundy; and two great-grandchildren, Brylee Wesley and Brannan Absher.
Funeral services will be 1:00PM Friday, September 12, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Bethelridge Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Casey County Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will receive visitors from 5:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the funeral home.
