Bernetha “Bootsie” Foley, of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Bluegrass Hospice Care Center. She was 74.
Born on March 14, 1951, in Liberty, KY, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Freeman and Ora Ellen Scott Monday. Bernetha was a former Office Manager for the Casey County Fiscal Court. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bernetha enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and gardening.
She is survived by one daughter, Fawn (Michael) Pierce; a son, Kevin (Angela) Foley; and two grandchildren, Lucas Foley and Ethan Pierce.
In addition to her parents, Bernetha is preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard Carl Monday and Arlis Randall Monday; and two sisters, Elva Allen and Elvena Shepherd.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Foley, Lucas Foley, Michael Pierce, Ethan Pierce, Lee Monday and Jordan Monday. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Dawson, Trenton Goodin, Brayden Kyle and Lucas “Bobo” Wethington.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Burgess officiating. Burial will follow at Whited Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
