Bernarr Tarter, of Junction City, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at his home. He was 87 years of age.
Born on April 6, 1933, in Liberty, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Delmer and Edith Coffman Tarter. Bernarr was a retired dairy farmer, mechanic, and an US Army Veteran. He also enjoyed working with electronics. Bernarr was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Hoskins Tarter of Junction City; four sons, Keith (and Kenwyn) Tarter of Danville, Robert (and Stephanie) Tarter of West Virginia, Jeff (and Regina) Tarter of Junction City, and Gary (and Yvonne) Tarter of New York; six grandchildren, Bobby Jonathan, Benjamin, Hannah, Courtney, and Zack; and two great-grandchildren, Leo and Kai.
In addition to his parents, Bernarr was preceded in death by two brothers, Mont Tarter and John Tarter; one sister, Patricia Bailey; and a deceased granddaughter, Samantha Tarter.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at Glenwood Cemetery. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at Glenwood Cemetery.
