Adrian “Tater” Wethington, of Liberty, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 76 years of age.
Born on August 22, 1943, in Clementsville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Joseph Cecil and Rose Bernice Wethington. Tater was a retired sheet metal worker and an United States Air Force Veteran. He a member of Saint Bernard Catholic Church. Tater enjoyed boating on the lake and watching NASCAR racing.
Survivors include one son, Luke Wethington of Pineville; two grandchildren, Braxton Wethington and Brayden Wethington; four brothers, David “Frog” (Marlene) Wethington of Liberty, Curtis (Wanda) Wethington of Russell Springs, Dale Wethington of Frankfort, and Tom (Brenda) Wethington of Hustonville; four sisters, Paulette (Tommy) Cooper of Liberty, Matilda Sapp of Louisville, Lois (Jim) MacLaren of Lancaster, Faye (Jody) Clements of Liberty; and a brother-in-law, Tim Underwood.
In addition to his parents, Tater was preceded in death by two sisters, Nina Underwood and Mary Claire Wethington; and one infant brother.
A funeral mass will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 24, 2020, at Saint Bernard Catholic Church with Father George Otuma officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 23, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with prayer services beginning at 7:00 P.M.
