Annie Mae Luttrell Emerson Obituary

Annie Mae Luttrell Emerson, of Walltown, departed this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at her home. She was 87.

Born February 23, 1937, in Lincoln County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lora Alice Clements Luttrell. She was a retired seamstress with Cowdens in Stanford. Mrs. Emerson was a member of the Rich Hill Church of Christ. She loved her grandchildren, watching Westerns on TV, and her pet dog, Barney.

Survivors include sons, James “Jimmy” Emerson of Columbia, David “Hoss” Emerson (and wife, Glenda) of Bethelridge, and Darrell “Henry” Emerson of Williamstown; daughters, Deborah Bonner of Walltown and Teresa Thomas (and husband, Steve) of Mt. Olive; 18 grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Elliott of Cincinnati, Margie Sims of Louisville, and Stella Hatter of Walltown; 37 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Brenda Luttrell.

Mrs. Emerson was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Emerson, who passed away August 25, 2004; son-in-law, Billy Bonner; daughters-in-law, Connie Emerson and Sandra Kay Emerson; brothers, Hershel, Robert, Carl, and Larry Luttrell; and grandson, James Quincy Emerson, who passed away on November 17, 2024.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 2:00PM at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Linville Hatter officiating. Burial will follow in the Grave Hill Cemetery in Mintonville.

Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Thomas, Scott Emerson, Shelby Emerson, Luke Davenport, Joey Emerson, and Drew Lape. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren and David Allen Emerson.
