Angie (Stephens) Davis

Angie Davis, of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at St. Joseph East in Lexington. She was 75.

Born on March 26, 1946, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Cornelus and Nettie Matherly Stephens. Angie retired from OshKosh as a seamstress. She was a member of Labascus Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, animals, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a selfless person.

She is survived by a son, Steve (Kim) Davis of Liberty; a daughter, Carol Buis of Liberty; three sisters, Devonda Luttrell of Liberty, Judy Sharp of Dunnville, and Roseleen Luttrell of Liberty; three grandchildren, Kamryn, Kara, and Kayla; and two great-grandchildren, Audie and Halie.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Davis, who passed away on August 8, 2014; three sisters, Jewell Stone, Hila Jean Gray, and Norma Leen Caruthers; and ten brothers, Vertis Stephens, Edgar Stephens, Garvey Stephens, Mervin Stephens, Verlen Stephens, Carroll Stephens, Jerry Stephens, Jackie Stephens, Charles Pevley, and Hollis Pevley.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Charles Lee, Lane Baldwin, Brayden Brown, Billy Brown, Scot Clark, and Justin Bryant.
