Russell Lee Byrd

Russell Lee Byrd, of Dunnville, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Russell County Hospital. He was 91.

Born on May 8, 1927, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late John H. and Edith Harris Byrd. Russell was a retired mechanic and dozer driver. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and chainsaws. He was an all-around good and hardworking man.

He is survived by a son, Darrell Byrd of Windsor; a step-daughter, Louise Roy of Liberty; a grandson, Anthony Craig (and Julia) Byrd of Russell Springs; great-grandchildren, Megan Byrd, Brandon Byrd and Bradley Byrd. Other survivors include step-grandchildren, Tonya Roy, Timothy Roy and Mark Roy.

In addition to his parents, Russell is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian McDonald Byrd; a daughter, Kathy Byrd; a great-granddaughter, Kendra Byrd; a sister, Hester Goode; five brothers, Artis Byrd, Ernest Byrd, Wayne Byrd, Arnold Byrd and Chester Byrd.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 910 Full Gospel Church with Bro. Casey Davis officiating. Burial will follow in 910 Full Gospel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 910 Full Gospel Church.
