Olowene Decker Elmore, of Liberty, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Casey County Hospital. She was 78.
Born on July 18, 1939, in Casey Co., Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Claude Decker and Mattie Murphy Robinson. Olowene was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Robin (Gary) Preston of Cincinnati, Ohio; a son, Brent (Cheryl) Elmore of Liberty; three grandchildren, Margaret Anne Elmore, Paul Montgomery and Andrew Montgomery; and two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Cameron. Other survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Hatmaker and Juanita Elam, both of Tennessee; and a brother, Johnny Decker of Indiana.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Vallace Elmore.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
