Kenneth G. Thomas, of Liberty, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Casey County Hospital. He was 81.
Born on December 2, 1936, in Adair County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Ray and Venus Daughtery Thomas. Kenneth retired from General Motors. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Thomas was a longtime faithful member of Liberty First Baptist Church. He was an incredible husband and family man that loved the Lord and his church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nina Sue Roy Thomas, who he married on August 24, 1963; two sons, Berlin Thomas of Jacksonville, Florida and Dwight Warren of Campbellsville, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Jennifer Varnado; two great-granddaughters, Lily Sue and Lauren Marie. Other survivors include three brothers, Charles Thomas, Harold (Cora) Thomas and Lowell (Beth) Thomas, all of Indiana; and a sister, Leona Spaw.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at First Baptist of Liberty with Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Birdie Russell Cemetery with military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at First Baptist of Liberty.
