Kenneth Dale Roy, of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at his residence. He was 70.
Born on February 16, 1948, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Hubert and Moneda Wilson Roy. Kenneth was a welder. He sung and played guitar for The Bluegrass Pioneers band for several years. He was of the Christian faith. Kenneth also enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Gibson Roy; two daughters, Lisa Rose Durham of Danville and Melissa Ann Royston of Hustonville; and two sons, Ryan Dale Roy of Liberty and Andrew Jason (Tammy) Reynolds of Jamestown. Other survivors include nine grandchildren; three sisters, Jacklin Bernard of Liberty, Dixie Rigney of Winchester and Sharon Dunbar of Russell Springs; and a brother, Garland Roy of Liberty.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Roy.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. EST on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Max Vitori officiating. Burial will follow in Roy Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. EST on Friday, August 3, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Mr. Roy’s pallbearers will be Dylan Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds, Alex Reynolds, Jordan Durham, Elijah Fraley, Brandon Roy, Brittany Roy and Haylee Roy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions of sympathy may be made to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
