James Herman Patton, of Dunnville, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019, at his residence. He was 88.
Born on February 5, 1931, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Artie Okla and Mary Lela Ellis Patton. Herman was a mechanic. He was an avid bird hunter that also loved to hunt and fish. Herman was baptized at First Baptist Church of Liberty. He bravely served his country in the Korean War.
He is survived by his spouse, JoAnne Thomas Patton of Dunnville, who he was married to for sixty years; a sister, Myrna Loy (Perry Dean) Knight of Old Hickory, Tennessee; a special great-niece, Mary Grace Branstetter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Homer Edward Patton and Forest Elmer Patton.
The funeral service will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Patton and Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Casey County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
