Hazel Joan (Richards) Roberts

Hazel “Joan” Richards Roberts, of Liberty, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018, at Liberty Care Center. She was 76.

Born on November 27, 1941, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Myrtle Snow Richards. She was a homemaker. Joan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna (Moses) Lee of Knifley; two sons, Mitch (Misty) Roberts of Hustonville and Chris Roberts of Liberty; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister, Maryetta (Ancil) Hale of Liberty; and a brother, JD Richards of Indiana.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Roberts, who passed away on March 24, 2013; and a brother, Ernest Richards.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. James Lynn and Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
