George Smith, Jr.

George Smith, Jr., of Dunnville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. He was 86 years old. 

Born October 30, 1933, in Earling, West Virginia, he was the son of the late George Smith, Sr. and Helen Toth Hall.  George was an Army Korean war veteran. He was a supervisor at General Motors.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie (Dwane) Sandlin of Lexington, Alabama; a sister, Stella Phillips of Lexington, Alabama; a grandchild, Jessica (Nathan) Cleveland of Lexington, Alabama; and a great-grandchild, Charlie Cleveland.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Smith.

Burial will take place at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Mill Springs National Cemetery. No funeral service will be held.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
