Florence E. (Hobbs) Johnson

Florence E. Hobbs Johnson, of Liberty, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Lee Memorial Health System in Florida.  She was 60 years of age.

Born June 16, 1959, in Lorain, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Ergel “Rose” and Gertrude Blackburne Hobbs. Flo was a Nursing Assistant and a member of Blessed Hope Old Regular Baptist Church. She loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include two brothers, Carl Edward Hobbs of Lorain, Ohio and Clifton Hobbs of Grafton, Ohio; two sisters, Sylvia Jean Cavanaugh of Grafton, Ohio and Kathy Sue Slone of Lehigh Acres, Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Flo was preceded in death by her husband, Jody Johnson; three brothers, Tildern Hobbs, Glen Hobbs, and Clayton Hobbs; one niece, Sheila Hobbs; and a great-nephew, Tyler Canter.

Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. EST Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Blessed Hope Old Regular Baptist Church with the church elders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M.-10:00 P.M. EST Thursday, January 16, 2020 and 10:00 A.M.-10:00 P.M. EST Friday, January 17, 2020, at Blessed Hope Old Regular Baptist Church.
