Elizabeth (Thomas) Terry

Elizabeth Thomas Terry, of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Liberty Care and Rehab, having attained the age of 94.

Born on March 4, 1925, in Dunnville, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Hannibal and Alice McDonald Thomas. Elizabeth worked for Terry Brothers Gate Company for years.

Survivors include a son, Gary R. (Jeannette) Terry of Liberty; three grandchildren, Gary T. (Cathy) Terry of Versailles, Kathryn (Kirk) Leigh of Junction City and Jennifer Terry of Danville; four great-grandchildren, Erin (James) Schreiner of Versailles, Caitlin (Joe) Rickert of Lexington, McKennze Terry of Versailles and Zach Leigh of Junction City; one great-great grandson, Tucker Schreiner of Versailles; and one sister-in-law, Ida Thomas of Liberty.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arvil W. Terry, who passed away on November 19, 1998; six sisters, Mable Thomas, Margie LaFavers, Agnes White, Opal McKeen, Blanche Thomas and Evelyn Neat; and three brothers, Therlow Thomas, Ralph Thomas and C.J. Thomas.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Thomas and Bro. Derrick Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Elizabeth’s pallbearers will be Zach Leigh, Greg Neat, Dustin Neat, Brad Neat, Larry Terry and Pat Terry. Honorary pallbearers will be Thurman Terry, Emma Jane Monday, Roberta Thomas, Avaleen Bernard, Gary T. Terry, Cathy Terry, Kathryn Terry Leigh, Jennifer Terry, Jeannette Terry and Kirk Leigh.
