Doug Luttrell

Doug Luttrell, of Russell Springs, departed this life on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at his residence, following a brave battle with cancer. He was 47.

Born on April 6, 1971, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late James Brinkley and Dorothy Patterson Luttrell. He was the youngest of five children. Doug was a welder. He had an excellent sense of humor and was best known for his camaraderie. The laughter that he brought to those who knew him will be greatly missed.

He is survived by a daughter, Khristen (and Dustin) Morgan of Waynesburg; a sister, Melissa (and Johnny) Martin of Liberty; a brother, Gregory Brinkley (and Karen) Luttrell of Russell Springs; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by two brothers, James Kendall Luttrell and James Douglas Luttrell; paternal grandparents, Perry and Mossy Luttrell; and maternal grandparents, Herbert and Daisy Patterson.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. EST on Monday, January 14, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Birdie Russell Cemetery.

The family of Doug Luttrell will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. EST to 8:00 P.M. EST on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
