Bob Caudill, of Louisville, formerly of Casey County, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Hosparus Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 88.
Born on June 23, 1930, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Arza and Sylvia Phillips Caudill. Bob owned and operated service stations for 20+ years in Anderson, Indiana and later owned and operated stations in Louisville for 15+ years. While residing in Casey County, Bob was a dairy farmer. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, crappie fishing and playing shuffleboard.
He is survived by his wife, Lyda Emerson Caudill, who he wed on April 10, 1948; three sons, Mickael (and Donna) Caudill of Mooreland, Indiana, Steve (and Janet) Caudill of Merritt Island, Florida, and Jerry (and Jenny) Caudill of Crestwood, Kentucky; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister, Clairlene (and Marshall) Leigh of Liberty; three brothers, Marshall (Helen) Caudill of Liberty, Dean (Catherine) Caudill of Anderson, Indiana, and David (Elizabeth) Caudill of Stanford; two brother-in-laws, Dennie (and Janet) Emerson of St. Petersburg, Florida and Ralph (and Vivian) Emerson of Georgetown, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Caudill; three sisters, Juanita Thompson, Genive Lane and Norma Cain; and two brothers, Larry Caudill and Eugene Caudill.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
