Joe Hardwick, of Liberty, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017, in Corbin, Kentucky.
Born on August 21, 1945, in Lincoln Co., KY, he was a son of the late Elijah Franklin and Myrtle Godbey Hardwick. He was 71. Joe was a truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Vivian June Snow Hardwick of Liberty; two daughters, Delania (and William) Hardwick Luttrell of Dunnville and Dinah (and Mickey) Hardwick Rooks of Columbia; and two sons, Joseph (and Bobbie) Hardwick of Russell Springs and Marc (and Regina) Hardwick of Russell Springs. He is also survived by two sisters, Peggy Leeper of Dunnville and Sue Clements of Liberty; one brother, Jerry Hardwick of McKinney; and six grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Gifford.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at South Fork Cemetery with Bro. Richard West and Bro. Matthew Lawhorn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dave Delong, Kenny Clements, Ryan Clements, Shawn Lee, Elijah Hardwick and Brian McQueary. Honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Leeper, Tony Gifford, Timmy Gifford, Trampes Gifford and Michael Hardwick.
