Jesse Parton passed away Friday March 16, 2012 at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville. He was 81.

Born October 22, 1930 in Casey County, he is the son of the late John and Serena Haste Parton. He is the widower of Nannie Godbey Parton and retired from Nu Tone in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Survivors include four sons, Willard Godbey of Vinegrove, KY and James Parton , Harold Parton, and Jerome Parton all from Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Priscilla Naugle of New Jersey; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by two son, Wilbert Godbey and Lawrence Parton; daughter, Mary Annie Schwab ; three brothers, Hershel Parton, Clarence Parton and Lawrence Parton and three sisters, Matrie Watson, Annie Dalton, and Bana Buis.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday March 20, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Edward Parton officiating. Burial is at Valley Oak Cemetery.
