Garnett E. Cox

Garnett E. Cox passed away Saturday February 16, 2013 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. He was 68.

Born January 17, 1945 in Casey County, KY, he is the son of the late Joel and Pina Pemberton Cox. He was a welder and mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Cochran Cox of Hustonville ; two sons, Gary Cox of Hustonville and William Turpin of Danville ; two daughters, Nita Gail Chadwell and Kay Perez both of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren ; six brothers, George , Ronald, Joe, and Fairley Cox all of Liberty, Lonnie Cox of Massachusetts and Shirley Johnson of Indiana; and five sisters, Rose Gillock and Betty K. McQueary of Liberty , Gail Reid of Hustonville, Geneva King of Indiana and Icie Atwood of Stanford .

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Billy Ray Cox ; brothers, Ed, Hardin, Elijah,Lemuel and Billy Cox ; and sisters, Mossie Wilson, Georgia Garcia, Pina Pemberton, Lemmie Peyton, Roxie Cochran .

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday February 20, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Allen officiating. Burial is at Dogwood Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
