Charolette Mae Murphy Cochran

LIBERTY- Charolette Mae Murphy Cochran, age 61, of Carpenter Creek Road, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012, in Lexington.

Born November 12, 1950, in Casey County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Murl and Effie Lay Murphy. She was retired from Fruit of the Loom and attended Ellisburg Baptist Church and Slate Hill Methodist Church. Mrs. Cochran enjoyed gardening and taking care of her family. She was a strong Christian lady who loved her family dearly.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Cochran; daughters, Delta Dawn (Steven) Carman of King Mountain, April Denise (Jerry) Wilson of Hustonville, and Lisa (Jeffrey) Kerns of Jamestown; brothers, Mike Murphy of Forest, IN, Walter Murphy of Liberty, Donald Murphy of Campbellsville, and Teddy Murphy of Forest, IN; sister, Mildred Monday of Anderson, IN; 6 grandchildren, Lindsey, Tyler, Jenna, Devan, Michael, and Chelsea; mother-in-law, Clara Mae Cochran of Hustonville; sisters-in-law, Aleece Ann Mills of Hustonville and Nancy Carolyn Church of Flower Mound, TX; step-grandson, Nathan; and step-great grandchildren, Chloe and Nate.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Murphy and sister, Novella Phillips.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, March 23, 2012, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bros. Dwight Coffman, Jerry Adams, and Howard Godby officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
